Fremington Quay was an industrialised island within a rural parish. Many men worked in the railway and the cranes, but only a handful of people lived there. Apart from the stationmasters house there was a small row of cottages, home to several Fremington families. The family photographs shown here were generously contributed by Mrs Vera Norman, Mrs Wanda Ruse, Mrs Parsley and others |
