Bessie Chapman

Chapel in Sheepwash
In his writings Alfred Chapman refers to the fact that the family gave land for the building of a chapel in Sheepwash . This photograph shows the interior of the chapel.

Chapel Memorial Plaque, Sheepwash
This photograph shows the white marble memorial plaque dedicated to Alfred Chapman's parents , which is located on the wall of the chapel in Sheepwash.It reads as follows: " in memory of Joseph Chapman of this parish;Timber Merchant Born June 21st 1708 Died December 8th 1850. Also of Rosamond Addems (whose maiden name was Gibson) wife of the above, who died May 31st 1842 Aged 37 years. Their remains rest in the churchyard of this parish. Thy will be done".
