Helicopter
The RAF were withdrawn from Chivenor Air Base in 1974 and it later became a Royal Marine Base. The RAF maintain a lesser but vital presence there today in the shape of 22 Squadron (A Flight), who operate the recognisable yellow Search and Rescue helicopters.
