Eighteenth Century Any Questions Event 1st February 2011

The Any Questions event took place on 1st February 2011 in St Mary Magdalene Church, Chulmleigh. A panel of four historians answered questions from a packed audience in the church on a variety of subjects connected to the eighteenth century.The historians are from left to right : Dr Anne Stobart, Historian and Medical Herbalist
Paul Cleave, Food Historian
Dr Margaret Pelling, Reader in Social History of Medicine, Oxford (and chair of the panel) and finally,
Dr Ian Mortimer Historian and Broadcaster.

The Life and Times of Richard Stucley drama event

Drama event celebrating the life of Richard Stucley held in St Mary Magdalene Churtch, Chulmleigh 2nd February 2011. Here you can see the re-enactment of Richard Stucley's wedding to Mary Toffel Johnson in 1730.

A Georgian Gallimaufry

The final event of the Richard Stucley Festival was the Georgian Gallimaufry which took place on 3rd February 2011 at Colleton Manor and consisted of an evening of entertainment, poetry and prose.
