SS Snowflake

The Snowflake was owned by Cpt. James Irwin of Combe-Martin, who purchased her in 1897, she was built as a "Clyde Puffer" and named "Maid of Lorn", it was Cpt. Irwin who changed her name to "Snowflake".

The Bulb Farm

The Bulb Farm at Sandy Lane, Braunton was started by Seymour Cobley in the 1920's. It was managed by Mrs Evelyn Snell who was a strict disciplinarian.
